Senigallia: the beach that made Italy dance
Senigallia is more than just the sea, it is collective memory. In the 1950s and ’60s, its famous Rotonda a Mare became a symbol of an Italy discovering holidays, music and entertainment. It is said that many summers truly began only when the lights of the Rotonda were switched on.
Its Velvet Beach, named for its fine sand, welcomed families, artists and travelers of all kinds. Even today, walking along the promenade at sunset, you can almost hear the echo of orchestras and dances that once animated the summer nights.
Senigallia is a city that has preserved its popular soul, combining tradition and culture in a lively contemporary scene.
